Our bed and breakfast

Our home has been designed as a place of well-being for us to live in, and for our guests to experience as though it were their own, independently and privately.

We were among the first travellers in the Salento area and continue to be so. The wonderful sea, unique sunsets, precious hilltop towns, ancient architecture, nature reserves, traditional cuisine, and nightlife… make for a unique experience!

Corte Baracca is a place we like to share with our guests, and it is a departure point from which to discover the SALENTO area.

  • The Building

    The main part of the building was constructed at the beginning of the 900s with characteristic tuff stone, extracted directly on site.

    Our patient and careful restoration has created a complex with rooms that are perfectly in keeping with the "court" setting.

    The Rooms

    All the rooms in the house are independent and accessible from outside the court.

    The centuries-old star and barrel vaults made of tuff stone, the natural stone floors, the white walls, and the wooden window and door frames create a harmonious and relaxing environment.

    Pampering

    For our guests' well-being we have chosen bed bases and mattresses that have strictly been Made in Italy,

    as well as fine Italian cotton bed linen, and bath sponges made of precious wood fibre.

At Corte Baracca every detail is eco-friendly and attentive to the needs of guests who wish to experience a holiday in this ambiance.

OUR ROOMS

The Rooms

Various spacious rooms are available to our guests (between 23 and 35 m2) which we prefer not to give names to! All the rooms have air-conditioning and a bright bathroom with a window, and some rooms also have an equipped outdoor area for private use.

The Suites

The Suite with a “pointed vault”, a characteristic feature of the Salento region, on the entresol floor, comprises a central structure that houses the bedroom made of bare tuff stone, a separate kitchenette, and a bathroom with a barrel vault. Outside there is a small area to dine and relax in.

The Suite with a characteristic “star vault” comprises a private entrance that leads to the larger room that is equipped with a bed and a dining/living area with a sofa; the bathroom is separate. The kitchen is located in a room with a barrel vault, where the old fireplace is equipped with a hob.

The Relaxation Areas

Guests have access to two distinct terraces/solariums with a view of a long stretch of the Ionian Coastline. From here you can admire the spectacular sunsets on the Gallipoli Bay.

Outside the building, in the court area, there are plenty of magazines and daily papers as well as guide books with information about excursions and local events.
